2020 SERMON SERIES
Our “Straight Talk” Series is our attempt to answer the difficult questions, Christians and non Christians ask. Questions such as, why is there so much pain and trouble in the world; why are there so many religions and do they all lead to God; Why are there so many hypocrites among Christians, etc.
Pastor Victor reminds us that so many times our past doesn't allow us to move forward toward our future. Is your future caged up in your past? Instead of being dragged down by the weight of guilt, pain, or lingering sense of failure you can experience the freedom that comes when we lay our burdens down at the feet of Jesus Christ.
We will be examining the marriages of four famous Biblical couples: Jacob & Leah (and Rachel), Ahab & Jezebel, Abraham & Sarah, and Hosea & Gomer. We will learn that their struggles were no different than our marital struggles today, even over a couple of thousands of years have gone by.
"Heart Check" series is all about the joy of giving! It's a complete paradigm shift in talking about giving. You'll learn how to move from a scarcity mindset to an abundance mindset. It highlights how generosity and giving are foundational parts of who we are as a Church and as Christians. It is our acknowledgement that because of what God did for us, this is what we do.
We are uniquely and wonderfully made by God and in the same way God has a specific purpose for each one of us. Succeeding at being ourselves is not about the big things we do, but rather it’s the small things that made a big difference. In this series, Pastor Victors gives us some biblical principles on how to succeed at being ourselves!
